Oma Karki is a famous female Documentary Cinematographer in the Nepali film industry.She has worked in Documentaries, television, acclaimed TV shows, commercials, short films and feature films.

Oma Karki was born in 1992 in Rautahat, Chandrapur Municipality-7. She is the eldest daughter among the three children of Govinda Karki and Goma Karki.

He was interested in cameras and movies since childhood. She came to Kathmandu with the idea of becoming a cinematographer after SLC.

After coming to Kathmandu, I got an opportunity to take cinematography training at ‘Dreams Creation’ with senior cinematographer and film editor Man Bahadur Thapa.

She considers herself lucky to have learned cinematography from the famous cinematographer and film editor Man Bahadur Thapa. After learning cinematography, she started filming documentaries, movies, television shows, profiles, TV serials, educational advertisements.

Most importantly I am a cinematographer. Since early on I have been entranced by how light and camera development can make passionate reactions. From that point forward I have been exploring different avenues regarding these center components and showing myself the apparatuses expected to make films that permit the crowd to associate with characters and their reality.
